Viggo Mortensen looks rough – sorry ladies – but his performance in this is excellent, as it that of the boy, Kodi Smit-McPhee. It’s pretty depressing, and I still don’t know what happened. Absolutely nothing got really blowed up.
What did make it special, was the late arrival of three noisy Eastern European tossers, one of whom made phone calls during the film. Both I and the guy behind me told them to STFU and take the call somewhere else. We rock.
