Amateur Photographer vs Jeff Ascough

Ooh, someone’s getting testy. Actually loads of them are. That’s the thing with internet forums – cliques form and it becomes impossible to make any valid criticism without the fogies closing ranks and getting pissed off.
The blog article they’re talking about may or may not be fair, but the guy is entitled to make an opinion in whatever language he chooses.
Right from the off the old stalwarts spout forth the usual and expected piss-taking and hyper-crtique of the guy even though they failed to realise two things: he was counted amongst the world’s best five wedding photographers by the BBC, and American Photo included him in their list of the world’s best wedding photographers.
Coming from a forum with bench fetishists should anyone be surprised?
