Thank God it’s not just me either. Holy shit. I’ve been watching the Frankincense Trail and it’s as if she looks for this type of slop to bitch about instead of concentrating on the task at hand. Fuck lady. WE ALL KNOW WOMEN ARE SEGREGATED IN THE MIDDLE EAST! Enough already. It’s like watching a television program on wildlife and constantly being reminded that it’s in danger. We know. I watch these programs to get away from reality, not to be constantly reminded of how idiotic we are as a species.

I have to say I agree; the outrageous arrogance of the woman was something to behold. I might have expressed myself differently from yourself but I’m sure we felt the same revulsion at her ridiculous behaviour . It struck me that it was probably reminiscent of the missionary days when similarly arrogant ‘christians’ set out to convert the world showing no respect whatsoever for the local culture and way of life.
I wonder how the Afar feel about contemporary western women giving birth, dumping their offspring on strangers sometimes within days of the birth, so they can return to hunting.
