Nando’s – Cheltenham

This place is fucking awful. If you’re in the area and need food, save yourself the hassle and go to Burger Burger or Prezzo.
OK, so I get that Nando’s is fast food, and I get that you don’t freeze the chicken, but is there any need to take 40 minutes to serve a cold chicken burger? I’m not talking lukewarm, I mean cold – full on, super-chilled, colder than the autumn air, cold. Somewhat bizarrely, the chips on the same plate were scorchingly hot. How does that happen?
Should cold chicken be served in a restaurant when it’s not in a club sandwich? Certainly not when it’s in a burger.
40 minutes for 7 meals to arrive, even though they arrived over the course of ten minutes, is appalling, especially when the restaurant wasn’t even full.
In a location where there are four other options, Nando’s needs to have someone pull their fingers out.
