Bannatyne’s: You can’t see the gym unless you fill in this form

Why am I required to fill in a form, containing lots of lovely marketing information, just to have a look at the gym? From the door I can see the treadmills, bikes and cross trainers, but not the weights area. That’s the bit I’m interested in, yet on Saturday I couldn’t get past the droid on reception unless I completed a data mining form.
It would have taken about 60 seconds for me to decide whether Bannatynes had what I want, and filling in the form would have taken far longer than that, yet it was an absolute requirement before I could get through the barrier.
